Travel With Flexibility – Delta Airlines

We understand that plans can change. No change fees are charged for Main Cabin and above tickets purchased on flights departing from the United States of America, Canada or the Caribbean. Change and cancellation fees may be charged for tickets that originate outside these regions. This depends on the origin location and ticket type. You can change your travel plans before departure. Sometimes, if you change your ticket, your new flight will cost more than the original flight. In this case, you will need to pay for the difference to change your flight ticket.

Basic Economy tickets are not usually refundable. Basic Economy customers can cancel their tickets for a fee, which will be deducted from your ticket value. The remaining value is issued as an electronic credit that can be applied to a future Delta flight.

You can cancel, change, or book your domestic or international travel plans with no change fees on Main Cabin or higher tickets.

1. Delta Airlines tickets are not subject to change fees for travel within the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico or Puerto Rico.
2. Delta does not charge any change fees for flights departing from the United States, Canada, or the Caribbean and flying anywhere in the World (including codeshared and joint venture partners).
3. Basic Economy fares not included

SkyMiles Members also have the option to make changes at any time when using a Award Ticket.

For travel from the United States or Canada to any destination in the world except Basic Economy, the following policies are applicable for Award Tickets:

1. The redeposit fees and reissue charges for award tickets have been eliminated
2. Changes and cancellations are allowed for Members before departure.

You can change your flight schedule yourself within 24 hours using the Fly Delta App. You may also be able select an alternative flight and choose a confirmed or standby option.

Giving You Even More Flexibility to Use eCredits – Delta Airlines

You can also choose to receive eCredits for Preferred Seat and seat upgrade purchases when you cancel or change your flight. At the moment, eCredits can only be used for future ticket purchases. However, this is a first step towards offering more flexibility in the future.

You can continue to book travel tickets in your name using your existing eCredits. You can use your eCredit by visiting delta.com/redeem, or using the Fly Delta App.
